Hospital timeframe question

Post by Corey Rossen »

In short, on what date will we know if there will, or won't be a hospital.

What determined, or determines that date?

Thanks,
Corey

I would say we certainly should know between now and 2026.

Seriously, it depends on so many different things and different scenarios.

Things like the lawsuit are not even dependent on who is mayor or on council
as it is dealing with past history and actions.

There is the reading of the agreements and leases. Some say no control others read it as
control. Some say no ownership others say ownership.

Lawyers on all sides reading the same documents many ways.

As we both know this is why courts deal in "opinions" and "decisions."

People on all sides are still trying to figure out every aspect of this.

This is what I find amazing about so much of the controversy, and even more with the
facts as presented by both sides. What on earth are we building with or on? What on
earth are we saving??? It will be nice when there is actually a hint of the deal.

I have to believe that even if a deal was presented at the next council meeting, it could
take 3 months or more to move it through. Then there will be referendums on both sides
presented no matter what is decided or voted on. That could take it deep into 2016.

On the horizon a couple new offers are possible, and some more lawsuits based on what
has been discovered.

Your guess is as good as mine.

Corey,

It will be determined by the people and when the people decide.

Of course, CCF, LHA, Summers, Madigan and Bullock are racing to destroy the hospital in violation of law and against the will of the people before the people are given a chance to decide.

So, like Jim says it depends.
