You see they are counting on us to be divisive and diffused. They would much rather have
us talking about the Browns squeaking one out in Pre-Season than trying to figure out
what the hell is going on.
I would suggest to all amateur economists who want to look backwards to find out why
we have spent so much in the Mid-East turn rocks into smaller rocks, or sand into er ahh
sand, than taking care of what was needed back here.
One thing I always wonder about with with Stephen and his R friends, why does history
only have value in bashing a D. Why does history have zero value when looking at well
history of both the Ds and the Rs?
We can go back and look at GWBs words and actions, his quotes on "wartime presidents"
before he became one, his quotes about "needing a reason to go back into Iraq." before
we went back. His actions making his stay at the White House the most secretive ever,
sealing his documents and those of his father for an extra 50 years!
And then this!
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/columns/Obama-closes-curtain-on-transparency-468557-100595914.htmlNow while it is not quite the same as adding another 50 years of secracy to documents,
and starting an office of misinformation in the USA, it is certainly a step down that pathway.
Where is the outrage?
What we have learned is when elected officials keep secrets, it is because they do not want
the people they have been elected to serve to find out what is going on. That is contrary
to what they are there to do. Work for us.
If we refuse to accurately look at the past, we will repeat it again and again and again.
If nothing else, the office of the presidency has taught us that. Before Bush and Cheney move
on, let's look at why we invested in gravel making and nation building. Let's look at the bailouts,
lets look at what has happened to education, and infrastructure over here, lets look at why
the jobs have gone overseas, and then lets hold the bastard accountable.
Transparency, Accountability is the friends on the people, not the enemy.
