So is the message here, Cleveland minus Lakewood?
Wrong spin.....

The proper message is Lakewood minus Cleveland.....

Was out working on bringing a well known restaurant to Lakewood. Thanks for having my back. Their sole interest was that we appear to be willing to stand on our own. They have restaruant in Cleveland, and see no relief in sight. Lakewood is the best thing they see in the county.

While some civic groups have sold out forgetting who pays their salaries, some of us can see a much clearer picture.

It is a picture that has been painted in other cities. Stay away from the edge of the cliff, do not tie yourself with an anchor before swimming.

It only makes sense.

For that to happen we must clean house.

FWIW.

Civic groups get salaries? Huh.
Well, this sounds like a very neighborly, collaborative approach. I'm sure it will be a great success.

Or maybe something Asian ... we need more good Asian restaurants on this side of the Cuyahoga!

Not Slymans' even more famous in this area.

Not Asian, though Tea House Noodles has been looking. They were ready to go into Curves new location, but Curves beat them to the spot.

Wait a minute, aren't we still awaiting the opening of the last establishment we had to guess the name of? What's the word on the sub place anyway?

Also, the "cooler by the lake" shirts are nice, but I'm waiting for the Lakewood branding to come around to what really makes us famous...

Lakewood Ohio...

...where you're never too far from a bar Saturday night, or a church Sunday morning.

Paid civic leader(?), pushing for regionalism, instead of business in Lakewood. Heard proclaiming at the Arts Festival, "It's not about Lakewood! It is all about Economic Development in the region!" From someone paid to encourage business growth in Lakewood, seemed to me like throwing money away.

I asked if they had "Lakewood" Stickers like the library, or some Lakewood gear, bit all they really had was some CLE+ stickers, some regional news, and some stuff from a city way out east.

When businesses call me, I generally make time to show them around, stop in at the Mayor's office, have lunch, and hook them with a Realtor. This is a promise I make each year at the Realtors Conference. If they call or know a business that needs convincing, call me, I will be happy to take them to lunch, introduce them around, and spend time answering their questions.

I feel it would be a bit disingenuous to offer it and not follow through.

Does their head chef regularly appear on Channel 3's morning show?
