Lakewood, Ohio "It's Cooler By The Lake"

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

AGS Printwear has just released the first version of their new Lakewood branding shirt.

This is the first of a series being release this summer and fall.

A part of the proceeds will go to Lakewood Christian Center.

The shirts are available at cost for non-profits, and members of MAMA and DADA.

Phil:

I have not discussed this yet with Mr. O'Bryan, but suspect The Rockport Militia and Rocky River Annexation Conceal Carry Commandoes, or perhaps the Friends of the Lakewood Dog Park, would be the best suited non-profits emerging in the Lakewood Visionary Alignment to benefit from the proceeds of the Lakewood + tee shirt.

I was so interested in the Cleveland+ campaign because for at least 15 years there has been an awareness campaign in the Gay community featuring either + bracelets or HIV+ bracelets.

So of course when I saw it in Cleveland, I just assumed the AIDS Task Force was behind it...

Ken

While some civic groups are pimping CLE + stickers at the Arts Festival, we have started to issue "- LAKEWOOD" stickers and shirt. On the back it says, "Common Sense Tells You To Get Away From The Sinking Boat Before You Get Sucked Down With It!"

I do believe that a coalition between Youngstown, Akron and Cleveland makes sense. Why let it flounder sink it immediately with more dead weight.

I was amazed to see a booth that was supposed to be marketing and boasting Lakewood, give up with mostly regional items, and almost NOTHING about Lakewood. Show me one of the things wrong with Lakewood.

Time to hold some feet to the fire!

Remember years ago the ill-fated "Cleveland's a Plum" campaign which spun off the "Cleveland's a Slum" counter campaign?
