Lakewood's lost a great troubador...

Post by Gary Rice »

Those of you who knew Gary Cavano will be saddened by his untimely passing. Gary was one of the best friends I ever had, or could have. We met at St. James' Guitar Mass, and ended up playing lots of music together over the years.

With his beautiful wife, Linda, the duo entertained just about everywhere, but especially enjoyed playing for nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Gary's visitation will be Monday at Zeis-McGreevey's funeral home at Northland and Detroit from 2-5 and from 6-9. A celebration of Gary's life will transpire at 8 p.m.

We were really shocked and saddened to see this. We are also so sad that you've lost such a good friend, Gary.

Thank you dl.

Thanks as well, to all who were able to attend the visitation yesterday, as well as to those who were in attendance at the memorial celebration of Gary's life last night. It was indeed standing room only; as a wonderful man was remembered, by grateful friends, and a grateful community. Over 200 visitors to this post should let others know how well Gary was thought of in this community. Linda and his family received a great deal of support in this time of loss.
