I Love To Vote!
My elementary school was Hayes. Although my first vote was absentee, my first "real" vote was at Hayes. As a candidate, I shook hands at Hayes with my neighbors.
I moved. I voted at Lincoln. I really liked Lincoln. Great poll workers.
I moved. I voted at St. Clement's. Tremendous poll workers, great bake sale.
I stayed. The Bd of El moved my polling place to Roosevelt.
SUPER friendly poll workers. They should have a bake sale.
As I go into the Y for my early morning work out, the candidates and signs are out in full force. Pumps me for those extra reps.
Why is your polling location the best?"

Re: I Love To Vote!
My kitchen table is my new polling place! I like having a quiet moment to reflect on the choices before me. I consider it a privilege to have the right to express my opinion in the election process and am grateful that I can do so without the fear many people around the world experience.

Personally I like going to the poll. My kids have and do attend the elementary school where my poll is so I've always used going to vote as a little civics lesson. My kids are probably tied of hearing me go on about the importance voting and being an involved member of the community.
Filling out a ballot at home just takes away the unique communal nature of the act of voting and reduces it to just the filling out of another form.

I with both of you on this.
I like the actual act of voting. Talking with he poll workers seeing an occasional candidate
neighbors walking in and out. A very nice slice of Americana.
Let's all VOTE.

Voted at Lincoln before heading east to work; poll workers prompt, efficient, and courteous - as always. A pleasure to see a couple of LHS students volunteering as well : ) The bake sale seemed to be doing a brisk business.

Re: I Love To Vote!
I voted at my son's school, Emerson. I love it because Frankie gets to go with me, learn about the process and how it all works. We then talk in private about who I voted for and why. We then walk over and turn in our ballot and we both get stickers. He is very excited to get that sticker. The poll workers are so nice and so helpful. I do wish however that they would make voting day a holiday for the kids. I do get nervous with so many people in and out of the school and around the kids.
