I've experienced it in so many different ways, but this year, my first on the 9th floor facing the lake? Amazing.
Eating lunch and seeing the Blue Angels flying in different formations past my windows is marvelous.

I love seeing the jets fly over they remind me of growing up in California right by Miramar air base.

I see that one of my favorite photographers is back too!
Interesting illusion, I discovered:
I have this little wheel on my computer mouse, and by rapidly rolling it back and forward, Ivor's amazing jet photos seem to be in motion.
(Come to think of it, Ivor seems to be in motion quite a bit too...
)

Ivor, you are an amazing talent!!! Thank you for sharing. My youngest (who is now 6) wants to know if he can print one of your pictures of the Blue Angels and hang it in his room. He loves them!!!!!!

O'Bryan and I spontaneously went to take photos of the Blue Angels performance by the William G. Mather and the Rock Hall today.
Afterwards, we met up with former Lakewoodite turned New Yorker Tom Warren for coffee at The Root.

I was lucky enough to see the Blue Angels at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis,MD are few years ago.My best friend graudated from the academy and the Blue Angels were amazing...I guess I never really knew anything about them. They were right over our heads,so so close,the noise was amazing.
