Did anyone elso notice the hundreds of St. Ed's kids holding up "mattress sale" signs on Saturday afternoon? (if not, check out JOB's "Seen Around Lakewood" picture thread).
How did mattresses become a school fundraiser item?
Aren't impulse items like car washes and bake sales more logical?
Are there folks out there driving around who see these signs and say "hey, I need to get a mattress, I'll stop by a high school to buy one".
THe only guy I've ever seen driving around looking for mattresses is Paulie Gatto...and it didn't work out too well for him.

That's a pretty good question.
When I first saw the signs I thought it had to be a joke. I'm not exactly sure who just randomly buys a mattress.
