My wife was wondering why there was a fish in our side yard.
Huh? What fish? Oh, the almost 15 inches long fish.
The dogs found it first. One had rolled on it.
Our neighbor heard us talking and told us that, yesterday, a Bald Eagle had flown low through the trees between our houses. It was being chased and pestered by a bunch of crows. The neighbor had heard a noise that he thought was the eagle hitting a branch while trying to evade the crows. It was most likely the sound of that fish hitting the ground.
The eagle must have just snagged that fish out of Lake Erie and the crows ruined his dinner by making him drop it.
The heat of the last couple of days was not very good for the fish. The flies and odor were pretty intense. After wrapping the fish in about 5 plastic bags for the trash, and a dog bath, everything is smelling better.

Nothin' shakin' on Shakedown Street.
Used to be the heart of town.
Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart.
You just gotta poke around.

If anyone would have a flying fish come by, it would be you.
