Lakewood Historical Society Scavenger Hunt

May is National Preservation Month and the Lakewood Historical Society is celebrating Lakewood’s architectural treasures with a scavenger hunt.

The scavenger hunt of 20 historic architectural features, all found throughout Lakewood, will run between May 15, 2010 and May 25, 2010. The downloadable entry form and list of Lakewood supporters
will be posted on the Lakewood Historical Society website http://www.lakewoodhistory.org on May 15, 2010.

Completed entries must be submitted by close of business on May 25, 2010 and may be dropped off at Rozi’s Wine House, 14900 Detroit Avenue, or Lakewood Hardware, 16608 Madison Avenue. Entries with all correct answers will be entered into a drawing to be held at LEAF Night on June 9, 2010 at 6 p.m. at
the Lakewood Public Library, 15425 Detroit Avenue, (winners need not be present at drawing). Prizes from Lakewood merchants and organizations will be awarded to first, second, and third place winners.

To celebrate Preservation Month 2010 and honor Lakewood’s architectural treasures, the Lakewood Historical Society presents the first annual architectural scavenger hunt. The scavenger hunt of 20 historic architectural features, all found throughout Lakewood, will run between May 15, 2010 and May 25, 2010. Download your entry form at http://www.lakewoodhistory.org. Complete this entry form by identifying the street address or unique building name for each of the twenty details shown below. There is no cost to enter the scavenger hunt. Completed entries must be submitted by close of business on May 25, 2010 and may be dropped off at Rozi’s Wine House, 14900 Detroit Avenue, or Lakewood Hardware, 16608 Madison Avenue. Today is a beautiful day to download the entry form at http://www.lakewoodhistory.org.
Then walk Lakewood to find all of our Scavenger Hunt items!
Then stop by the Lakewood Garden Center for some heirloom Tomatoes!
