Don't get your hopes up. There's only small parts of that video I agree with. If I had a transcript, I'd quote the parts exactly.
Off the top of my head, they are:
1. For the first time in history, we are being given a world (or did they say a country) in worse shape than was given to the previous generation.
As the maitre'd in Ferris Bueller's Day Off said, "I weep for the future." Forgive my pessimism, but I do not see these kids as capable of changing our future for the better.

2. We need an Apollo moon-shot style effort to revolutionize energy production.
But until then, lets utilize what we have. Drill for more oil and natural gas and end foreign dependence. Eliminate the EPA barriers to nuclear power generation. Solar, geothermal, hydro-electric, wind, etc. There's potential to harness power everywhere.

My point of posting it, however, was in showing the outright arrogance and gall some kids have (truth be told, I fit that "generation" in terms of my physical age). They think they are better and smarter than you older folks. For this reason, you're not as valuable in their eyes. A universal health care system in crisis (and don't tell me we aren't in one right now) means rationing. Who gets their rations cut? The smart, strong young people or the out-of-date, weak, old and/or infirmed?

I do not consider myself one of that group.

Do not get ahead of your self Roy. Some how I doubt we (yes I am in that generation as well.) will be killing off the old folk because we ran out of health care.

I do agree that we need a crazy investment in solar and nuke power. And sure I will give it to you that as long as I see the crazy level of spending to develop these alternatives then why not do some more SHORT TERM drilling.

I do not think they are showing complete arrogance. They are just pointing out that the views of their fathers do not reflect the views that they have. Mostly on social justice things. Take gays in the military. Don't ask Don't tell was a big deal for the older generations. To be frank no body cares if you are gay now a days. At some point that will be the norm just due to shear numbers.

After thinking about it some more. (Thanks Roy, I had something to do in that meeting this afternoon ;-) ) Is it really so much arrogance and gall on behalf of these kids. Or is is more the hopeful future. You agree that we/they/whatever are being given an america worse off than the one our parents were handed. Well who gave us that world? Our Parents. It only makes scene that every generation gets a little smarter (or progressive  ) than the last. So buy your own logic you better hope they/we do it better than our parents, or our kids will be right back here having the same conversation with the craptastic world we leave them. Just some thoughts. Then again I did not pay attention in history class so PLEASE do not elect me to any public office!! ;-)

I've posted this before, but it speaks volumes, so I'll post it again:
"Conversely, services provided to individuals who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens are not basic and should not be guaranteed. An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia. A less obvious example Is is guaranteeing neuropsychological services to ensure children with learning disabilities can read and learn to reason."
--Ezekiel Emanuel, health-policy adviser at the Office of Management and Budget

In the Lancet, Jan. 31, 2009, Dr. Emanuel and co-authors presented a "complete lives system" for the allocation of very scarce resources, such as kidneys, vaccines, dialysis machines, intensive care beds, and others. "One maximizing strategy involves saving the most individual lives, and it has motivated policies on allocation of influenza vaccines and responses to bioterrorism. . . . Other things being equal, we should always save five lives rather than one.

"However, other things are rarely equal--whether to save one 20-year-old, who might live another 60 years, if saved, or three 70-year-olds, who could only live for another 10 years each--is unclear." In fact, Dr. Emanuel makes a clear choice: "When implemented, the complete lives system produces a priority curve on which individuals aged roughly 15 and 40 years get the most substantial chance, whereas the youngest and oldest people get changes that are attenuated."

I'll address the arrogance later when I've had more time to listen and transcribe the video.

the millenials. it will be the first thoroughly post-industrial generation of Americans.

The largest shopping mall operators want to merge. there must be some shortage of shopping. as a bigger entity, they will have more clout hitting up municipalities, counties, states, and federal programs for subsidies. Generation Wal-Mart. the first thoroughly Cable TV and Internet Generation. The Millenials and Gen X-ers and Baby Boomers will need shopping centers to attend. as Chris Rock said, "There are two kinds of malls".

the only path to energy "independence" is using less energy per capita.
The french use about 2/3 electricity per capita as Americans. France is our case for nuclear power. France doesn't stomp its military around the world and prop up Israel. France's nuclear power plants are not a landing pad for folks less than pleased with U.S. nation building.

How much trouble will the Mellinials get us into? hopefully less than the Boomers and the X-ers. "We've got to invade Iraq, because of September 11". The tab is only 2 or 3 trillion dollars so far.

The mellenials will enlist in the military in record numbers. to pay off their student loans. to bring in enough money to pay off their credit card companies. the credit card companies need that money to pay off the retailers and the importers. the retailers and importers need that money to pay off China and Japan and South Korea.

America will be performing so poorly domestically, there will be mounting pressure to exercise our most impressive remaining asset: the military. spectacular air power and communications technology will allow us to regime-change third world and second rate countries. Then pimp out the enlistees and the guards to occupy the countries in heavily armored patrols and wonder why the locals don't want freedom and soak up a few thousand casualties a year and spend half a trillion dollars a year. America will try to spread Las Angeles or Detroit to the world some more.
