Well, another year over, and a new one about to begin. As the LO takes this holiday break
and gets ready for 2010 and all of the changes that are coming our way, it is pretty
wild to look back at what was started and where it has all gone.

Well the Lakewood Observer crew has made it through another year, our sixth. A year that has seen many changes both here in Lakewood and around the offices. The first and maybe the best is Mel Page coming in as Publisher, with Margaret Brinich as editor. Both are doing a fantastic job and really building the project up.

This had allowed AGS to take our show on the road starting papers in other communities and getting some national attention for the project and the City of Lakewood. We have 5 in print and another 8 in the works. Here in Cuyahoga county, and around the country.

As always thank you to my advisory board, the writers, the photographers, illustrators,
editors, advertisers, posters, and everyone that has made this the historic project it
has become. We should all be very proud of your part, and what we are doing.

Thank you, everyone. Together we are proving that when a community is not afraid to get involved and work together with the open dialogue of residents, civic groups, businesses and elected officials it is a very powerful good thing. Something to take part in, not to fear. After all, we are all neighbors working together.

Peace to all, and have the happiest of New Years, I know we are planning to.
