The Pope is trying to convert Anglicans to Catholics by affirming Catholic commitment to not letting homosexuals marry at Catholic churches. Some heterosexual Anglican priests and bishops may even be allowed to remain married if they go Catholic.

The Anglican Church has proven that by allowing priests to marry you wind up with very few devoutly closeted pedophiles becoming priests. The Catholic Church has proven that by not allowing priests to marry you wind up attracting many more devoutly closeted pedophiles into the priesthood.

It is up to the Anglican Church to play up its historical strength. Many more people want to get divorced than want to be homosexual. Has any Pope issued a clear decree about divorce yet?
