Future Heights Throws A Party!

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Tonight I was invited with a couple other key Observer people to the Future Heights
party to celebrate 1 year since they launched the Heights Observer. This was the
first sister publication, they now number 7.

It was a night of fun, and great talk about the huge impact the project has made
on University Heights and Cleveland Heights.

About half of the group that showed up to celebrate the Heights Observer. Speaking
was an ex-editor of Times, author of "What Will Save Cleveland." And huge supporter
of the Heights Observer.

Toby from the board of Future Heights explains to Ken Warren how much the Heights
Observer has meant to their town, and civic projects. That if Ken was moving please
consider Cleveland Heights, as they love grand thinkers. On the right is Heights resident
and Lakewood Observer Stephen Calhoun talking with Dr. Marvin Owens, publisher of
our largest Observer Project to date to be announced next month.

I would like to thank Future Heights for thinking out of the box and coming to Lakewood
to learn how to run, manage, and build a community paper. I could not have asked for
a better group to work with.

I would like to thank the founders of Lakewood Observer, Ken Warren, Stephen Davis,
Jeff Endress, DL Meckes, Heidi Hilty, and Dan Ott. For helping to start and grow this
groundbreaking other projects. It warms my heart knowing how hard we are all
now working with others to start more.

Everyone taking part should be happy that we are showing others to look to Lakewood
for innovative thinking, and programs. This is because of you the residents and members
of the Lakewood Observer.
