I was just watching this, I usually don't put much stock in endorsements but I think this can only help Obama.

Of course the republicans are already on the news stating it doesn't mean a thing, I'm sure had he endorsed McCain they would have been all over the news stating how important his endorsement was.

Seriously this is a big endorsement, people respect Colin Powell and I think he might sway some minds.

Good news

This is good news.

Also, Obama's proposed tax increases are lower than the taxes under President Ford, President Nixon, President Kennedy, President Eisenhower, President Truman, and President Roosevelt. Southerners can be reassured that Obama is more conservative than each of these Presidents, even Truman and Johnson.

"Secretary Powell says his endorsement is not about race," Limbaugh wrote in an e-mail. "OK, fine. I am now researching his past endorsements to see if I can find all the inexperienced, very liberal, white candidates he has endorsed. I'll let you know what I come up with.

"I was also unaware of his dislike for John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy and Antonin Scalia. I guess he also regrets Reagan and Bush making him a four-star and secretary of state and appointing his son to head the FCC. Yes, let's hear it for transformational figures."

I didn't know Colin Powell was black. Judging by his appearance, I had always assumed he was white.

Rush Limbaugh is also white. One of the differences between Colin Powell and Rush Limbaugh is that Colin Powell deserves to be taken seriously.

Rush Limbaugh is like Lead Poisoning. The more you are exposed the less intelligent you become.

I thought only the Democrats eat their own. Apparently the republicans do, too. The Republicans that had been early on suggesting Secretary Powell as a possible Presidential candidate will now spend the next 5 days tearing the man down as much as possible. Which of course won't help them but it is nice to know that it isn't just the Democrats who have the ability to self-destruct (I'm looking at you, 2004 Election).

It is funny that I was talking to some friends this past weekend about a possible role for Powell with this Presidency and this endorsement (and hints from their phone conversation) makes this seem all the more possible. He might get a second chance to give advice but this time he might be listed to by his boss.

They haven't been told the truth.
They are too lazy or stupid to reach correct...conclusions, or
They are biased by their self-interest, dogma, or ideology."
