Stan, it is not cheaper, so how is it better?
On a side note could you please keep a closer eye on global. As an official referee in the catfight website, we might need you here for the next 4 weeks.

Start here:
1. We are using less transportation fuel.
2. SUV Sales are down.
3. Imports will slow as the dollar continues to weaken.
4. Even the illegal immigrants don't want to be here and are leaving.
5. Pathetic papers such as the PeeDee are struggling while online news is gaining momentum.
6. I don't eat as much meat because I can't afford it so my cholesterol is down.
7. Used durable goods are cheap.
8. Using trains (the most efficient way to transport things) is on the rise.
9. More Americans are beginning to see the cancerous rot in their government at all levels.
10. We spend more time with our neighbors instead of going out.
And you thought I was a pessimist! I can't wait until the whole freakin' thing comes unraveled and people say "What happened?"

Please list of all things that the local Dems (County and City of Cleveland)have done to attract businesses to this area...
PS You cannot blame the president or republicans for the lack of vision in Cuyahoga County. Cuyahoga County and Cleveland are run by Democrats. Democrats have taxed this area into a depression...

Jennifer
Found one. Eisel is a name caller with an R or a B or a something.
Stephen
Not a negative question, ala Ryan Salo. Not a name calling question ala Jennifer Scott. A very simple question, not political, ans Hoffert who feels the same way as I about the 1/2 (yes half) party system.
I cannot believe that anyone thinks we are really served in Washington.
Stephen, stephen, stephen, I was expecting at least some clicky thing.
I asked one simple question here.

My god man. If I catch you wearing them funky glasses next time we are drinking, I am leaving.
What makes you so sure I do not hold them all responsible. However I know one Dem that brought 160 jobs to Lakewood. I know another that has cut Lakewood budget enough to stave of bankruptcy and give us a chance for a future.
But let's get back to the list.

2. (of jazz) having the soulful feeling of early blues
3. stylish and modern in an unconventional way; "she likes funky clothes"; "we did it all in black and white in a very funky sixties style"

Your killing me.
One example, just one. not the best, just one.
Six years ago in many forums I asked. With Bill Clinton lying and getting impeached. Can anyone tell me one example when George Bush told us the truth?
10 boards, six years no answers. Think about it.
Back to the list.
I agree with Steve large papers going out of business

No, this is an apolitical question.
We might not even need change, without looking.
I would hope that this world has not bubbled down to who has made it worse!
You have pointed out, as has Ryan about taking the high road. I appreciate that. I think one of Ryan's post in another thread is one of the finest on the deck. Here is why I am voting, and why. As I read the list, some I agreed with, some I did not, others I understood how they fit in Ryan's life.
So in an effort to start a positive thread on if we even need change...

Gotcha! I just started a happy thread in General. I don't think we will have anything to argue about on that one.

Woo, Thinking positive hurts my brain.
I suppose I am personally better off because of the depressed market for sellers about a year ago. As a renter for the better part of 5 years I had no home to get rid of before I could buy one. I was able to find a great deal on a nice house. Because of the depressed selling market I was able to pass off some costs that I would have incurred to the seller.
still thinking about how better off we all are...
