We should also think back. Kennedy almost always had a scotch in his hand, while taking handful of pain killers for his back. Nixon curled up in the corner, crying and drinking in his last two years. Bush 41's doctor prescribing him Halcione, as he could not sleep. Halcione's side effects are paranoia, agressivness, the inability to make good decisions, and now GWB having the same doctor, dad had. This is good news for peace and cooperation.
About 100 years ago the U.S. lent military and diplomatic weight to Panama declaring independence from Columbia. Now we are friends with Panama, and also Friends with Columbia! We are friends all over the Hemisphere!
Russia has long had the reputation of being slower and backwards compared to most of Europe. they'd had this reputation for over 400 years. Russia is catching up! They are following in U.S. footsteps! They have successfully supported South Ossetia in its independence from Georgia. Soon Russia will be friends with South Ossetia and Georgia both. And America and Russia will be friends! This will free up hundreds of billions of federal money to bail out the big banks and mutual funds that got stuck holding mortgage backed securities. Our parallel history with Russia is an opportunity for Bush to extend the olive branch of tolerance and mutual respect.
