he gets coverage.

he was recently on a debate on mtv, and I usually read at least one article about him daily on various news sites.

he should be getting more press though.

if he and John Edwards teamed up to be a president/vice president duo I think we'd get back on track as a nation.

Sadly, it looks like Hillary is going to be the candidate and that troubles me. I think she's nuts and should switch her party. The only reason she's a democrat is because she'd never get elected to anything as the wife of a democratic former president (arguably one of our most successful) and a woman running for office. I don't think republicans would stand for that.

I could be wrong, it's just an opinion.

I like what Obama has to say. I'd like to see Edwards here in Cleveland but it seems like no one is coming here to campaign. I don't know why..I mean Ohio is a pretty important state to control.

Thanks Ivor. CNN has not been giving him much attention lately (or I am just missing the stories on him). I think that Obama and Harold Ford Jr would also be a great combo for President.

On the republican side, I am not excited by anyone who is currently running. I was hoping that Colin Powell would run....

Once the primary voting is over (and that is all that is happening now) Ohio will be riddled with Presidential candidate visits. Just watch.

As for Powell, that would be a cool contender but I think after his exit from the Bush camp he won't be doing much publicly. He seems too honest and since he probably can't say nice things about his former boss, he will just choose to say nothing. There is no way after his blatantly obvious (now, anyway) trumped up defense of the invasion of Iraq that he would be able to deal with all the questions about it. It would kill the party, too, because that is precisely the time they want us to forget about. Which is too bad because prior to that song and dance he was forced to do, he was the only one reportedly telling his boss that invasion was not a good idea. Bush used that integrity and burnt Powell out of any political future in doing so. A real shame, if you ask me.

Looks like a Hillary vs. Rudy next year at this point. The media stopped loving Obama and is now treating Hillary as the title winner, absent any actual primary voting to support it. Sadly, too, because I think she is the easiest Democrat to defeat at this point. She will bring out the Limbaugh-lovers in droves to vote next year if she runs.

Barack Obama has some stuff going for him. He's from Hawaii, so he can use the magnum pi theme music for his campaign. like how Reagan co-opted Bruce Springsteen songs in his 84 campaign. that's all it really takes.

Also, he is ostensibly black. Most white suburban kids will vote for him on that merit. Technically he ain't African-American. His mom was white, he was raised by whites in hawaii, and his father was an African college professor. Hawaiians aren't like most Americans. Even less than Californians are like Americans.

He will get the white young suburban vote, and the Magnum P.I. vote. And the feminist vote, by default as a democrat.
