Thank you for the opportunity to be your council representative for Ward 1.

I think this election should focus on ideas. Specifically, ideas that will bring prosperity to Ward 1 and to Lakewood.

In talking with residents of Ward 1, it appeared to me that it didn't matter if your concern was safety, property values, schools, or city services, prosperity was the answer. Prosperous communities have safe streets, high property values, excellent schools and city services.

The question is how do we get there. We can follow Cleveland's path of community development groups, higher taxes, grand public works projects and empty proclamations (and we have seen where that gets them), or we can strike a different path, one that allows the residents of our community to keep more of what they earn, attract new and grow existing businesses, improve our schools and improve the quality of life for all residents.
