REMINDER - Vote Today - 5/8/07

Post by David Anderson »

Hello Fellow Observers -

Just a friendly reminder - get out and vote today. It's beautiful out, the smiling poll workers are all in place and the machines are working well.

Personally, I found the threads regarding 4 and 11 provocative and helpful. But, now it's time to put all that bickering/debate aside and go forth and pull the lever, uh, insert the magnetic card.

Same here. Very helpful.

Oh, and of course I'm voting.

I voted today at Horace Mann, and came away very disappointed.

NO BAKE SALE!

Mr. Demero and Mr. Fitzgerald are confused. They thought they were on the ballot today. They put signs out at the polls. Probably legal, but very tacky.

Actually it was very smart. It gets their name recognition out there. It may or may not be tacky, but politicly I think it will help.

A voter asked me who Mr. McCallister was and why he wasn't on the ballot since his sign was up.

Good voting experience this time.

It seems like they worked some of the kinks of the electronic voting (like being able to actually read the paper printout) as well as some of the usual kinks (they found my name in the book). They accepted a U.S. passport as voter identification without question (people that walk can vote too).
