Just put up a short photoblog of a white deer we saw in the Emerald Canyon today, plus more on one of our Cooper's Hawks:

Bill:

Great shots and captions!

Those hawks just love those red squirrels.....

Very, very fine nature snaps.

Thanks,

Those are fine images!

We've been seeing an unusual number of hawks lunching by the highways. It's been amazing!

Think that hawk is related to the hatchling(s) from across the street?

Bill

Nice shots.

The white deer you took photos of I have been follwoing since the night of the unicorn sighting. I have found it reported and photogrpahed as far away as North Olmsted. Where do you see him?

Very nice pictures.

I saw that white deer a couple of weeks ago driving through the Metropark, and couldn't believe what I saw ... I've never seen a white deer before! Thanks for getting those pictures, because now I do believe what I saw. Great camerawork!

Thanks for the kind words all.

We spotted the deer in the park between Jupiter and Unanus, on the western hillside. Just south of the wildflower trail.

We had a juvenile hawk in our arbor vitae yesterday, right next to the bird feeder. Of course, I didn't put more "thistle" into the feeder so our sparrows weren't hangin' but I was surprised to see him.
