New Front Page... as we enter phase 5

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

All.

There is a new front page to the Lakewood Observer. Designed by Dan Ott to be easier to read and use, while making room for the various on-line additions that will be coming down the pipe.

It features a "hot story" from the paper. Followed by news releases. These release are entered by the schools, city hall, and government offices and go directly live providing Lakewood Observer readers with important news faster than any other service out there. Part of this that will be implemented shortly are ways to code news releases for importance. This will allows the Observer to post Amber Alerts, possible CERT Emergencies, and even email to members at the same time for those that sign up for the service.

Also coming to the front page is more music, videos, pod-casts, photos, lists of businesses where you can get the Lakewood Observer, contests, and some very special fun with Lakewood Schools that has been in the works for months, and is nearing completion.

Stop by and check out the frontage, for news, the most complete event calendar for Lakewood on the planet, and fun, fun, fun.

Thanks to all that have taken part, especially the advisory board that has added so much to this project.
