Health Education, free publicity or just a jog on Oct 1st

On Sunday October 1st, the Lakewood Jaycees along with the Lakewood YMCA will be hosting a 5K at Lakewood Park. Proceeds will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
In addition to the run and traditional follow up event of presenting awards and eating bagels, we are also providing the opportunity for any other organizations to set up a table and join us. We ask that each group that would like to participate provide some educational materials on the importance of a healthy diet and exercise. We hope that this will be an opportunity to collaborate on yet another event and provide an opportunity to promote your group.
With the focus of the event on healthy kids we encourage everyone to come as a family, enjoy yourselves while supporting a great cause and hopefully learn something as well.
