Antonio Applauds Joint Support of House Bill 86

COLUMBUS–Today, Senate Minority Leader Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lakewood) issued the following statement after the Ohio Senate passed House Bill 86, which made changes to the adult use recreational marijuana laws passed under Issue 2.

“The people of Ohio said loud and clear that they want legal, safe and accessible marijuana,” said Antonio. “Our caucus worked together to ensure that the voice of the people was reflected in the changes made to the bill, including expungement, preserving home grow and funding for our local communities and mental health. As legislators, we have a responsibility to make sure our state has good public policy that serves the people well. I believe we’ve done that with this bill.”

Alcohol is the best drug for watching professional sports on television.

Cannabis increases the risk of people listening to music. They might become preoccupied with arts and crafts.

The link to the bill 86 as passed by the Senate: https://search-prod.lis.state.oh.us/sol ... format=pdf

Incredible and typical, the bill is 160 pages long. It's a confusing collage of various sections of regulations, fines, permits, licensing, testing fees, taxes, distribution of funds, required security, etc., etc. I skimmed it, I have no intention of taking the time and much effort to read it. If you're inclined to read the bill thoroughly, you'll require either a lot alcohol, or blooming home-grown crop to sort through this salmagundi document.
