As we enter the “dog days of summer” let’s take a break and have some fun, you can win some fabulous stuff, and we can give it away.

Over 50 trees have been nominated for the LO/Tree Advisory and Education Board’s 2nd Annual Lakewood Tree Contest. You could have already won if you nominated a tree. Go the the photo galleries and see if your favorite tree was nominated. They help us decide which are best!

To see all the trees go to: https://lakewoodobserver.com/photoblogs ... ntest-2023
Then go to "Question of the Day" and vote:https://lakewoodobserver.com/daily-question/2023-08-15

Another way you can Win is by sharing your neighborhood’s block party or stories with us. Let’s be honest when we share stories and photos with the Lakewood Observer we join with a 100% community effort. Everyone working together to keep a running dialogue with residents, while building our historical archives. To date we have over 53,000 stories, 310,000+ photos, art, poems, history and discussions. All on file, all easily searchable by members.

Speaking of members, membership is FREE, and we never share member’s information. Actually we only ask for your real name, and email. That’s all. That gives you access to all of our libraries, galleries, stories.

Thanks again for everyone that takes part, and please send in those stories and photos.

You can pick up this edition of the Lakewood Observer at over 100 locations around town.
And/OR you can download a digital version here.

Don’t forget to look at the trees and vote TODAY!
