While all the excitement was going on down at the garage collapse, some Lakewood Firefighters with members of Parkside Church had their 2nd Annual Burning River Peer Support Network Holiday Food Drive.

Delivering over 100 meals to families, or as they put it. “Times are more difficult than ever, and we are hoping to bring some relief to those who are stressed about giving their families a Christmas they deserve.”

The delivery crew stopped long enough for a photo.

Burning River Peer Support Network and Lakewood Firefighters Local 382 teamed up raising money to get pre-made holiday meals for those in need.

The meals were prepared and provided by Italian Creations. Ross Keller owns one of Lakewood’s finest restaurants and catering businesses.
So you know they were good!

Then off they went.

Burning River Peer Support Network is a non-profit, Lakewood Firefighters Ryan Fairbanks and Ryan Birth started. its mission is to help reduce first responder suicide and support their mental health and wellness through outreach, prevention , and education.

With everything else going on today, you never stop giving to this community. One of a million reasons why we love and respect all of you.

Merry Christmas.
