We have been partying like it's 1999, and that is no exaggeration well today it got serious.
Recent news from Novavax is that the South African variation, now in Florida, and the Brazil variation now in Minnesota is highly resistant to the vaccine dropping the effectiveness from 95% to as low as 60%. This is still higher than the average flu vaccine which is about 45% effective.

And this is the bad news, both strains can reinfect a person that already had the native strain. In other words having it once no longer offers any protection, you can still go through it all once again. Only this time, the symptoms are worse, more deadly, and working on a body already weakened by COVID.
IT IS STILL EARLY, so who knows what the long range trials, studies show. But is it looking like it keeps coming back til we kill it or it kills us.
Now while much of this has been spoken about in the early days of the virus, it is becoming a reality.
BE SAFE, WEAR MASKS, DO NOT TRAVEL UNLESS NEEDED,
This can be beat, countries have beaten it back to manageable levels.
But you have to sit down and realize, we are in a pandemic, we are dying and losing, TODAY we can change, and take it seriously.
