Let The Voting Begin!

These rules must be followed for your votes to count. (We have had half of the early votes get thrown out for NOT FOLLOWING RULES. See Below.

Thanks to the efforts of many, many, many Observers we have compiled over 250 homes that have been singled out and entered into the contest. Now comes the time to decide on some prizes, kudos, thank you's and who knows what else. This year with the help of Gordon Tower Insurance, we will pay the first $50 of the winner's December Electric Bill and another $50 in fine dining from one of our sponsors: Woodstock BBQ, Melt, India Garden, West End, and Root Cafe. Second place will get $60 in fine dining. Third through tenth will get gift certificates for fine dining.

VOTING IS EASY, AND FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!

Take out a piece of paper and a pen. Go to the photo gallery, go through the different photos writing down the number of your 5 favorites. (You must choose 5). Then go to the Question of the Day and list your answer with a comma between each number. EXAMPLE: 005, 121, 257, 222, 001. It is that easy!

You can call it up on your TV and have the whole family help! OR each can do it on their own. If you are nominated you can vote for yourself, but you have to vote for four other homes too. Any entry with less than five choices will be deleted, any entry with more than five, we will choose five of them at random, and delete the others. Three voters will be chosen at random for a gift certificate and a GLOW IN THE DARK Lakewood Observer T-Shirt!

VOTING CAN BE DONE from Monday 12.21.2020 through Christmas night - MIDNIGHT.

You can only vote once a day! (You must vote for 5 different homes)

On January 1, 2021 we will post the winners.

Winners will need to contact the LO Office to claim their prizes.

The purpose of this contest was not only to highlight some fine homes, but to get all of us out of the house, off our asses and outside to drive around this wonderful city. We are always asked about addresses, but that would cut down on the fun of exploring Lakewood, and seeing all the great decorations.

Thank you everyone, especially those who decorated and those who nominated.

Now let’s get voting!

Thank you, have a Merry Christmas, and a safe New Year!

There are over 250 holiday displays, here are samples of what you will see...

Links to voting are in the last photo.

YOU MUST VOTE FOR 5 HOUSES. (Votes with less than 5 choices will be ignored and not counted.)
YOU MUST USE THE NUMBERS IN THE CAPTION ON THE PHOTO TO VOTE. (Using an address will get the nullify the vote.)
VOTES USING ADDRESSES WILL BE IGNORED. (We know you can vote for your own house, we had one person nominate their own home nearly 100 times. Of course they all counted as one nomination. Had it been the voting to help select the winner, they would have all be ignored.)

WOW WOW WOW, voting was fast and furious. One house even bent every rule they could in a desperate effort to win the prize. I am surprised they didn't bring in Russians to win. But we have narrowed it down to the top 20, which will now go to the judges to discuss and kick around. Really this year was a doozy. It will make an amazing story in the up coming Lakewood Observer.

Good job Lakewoodites and great job voters, well most of you!

Well here are the top 20 in now particular order that will be mulled over by the judges.

All of Lakewood lights were spectacular this year. Thank you to everyone that made an effort and thank you for those who went out, drove around and nominated and voted. Speaking for myself it was nice to get out and do something productive and fun.

Stay tuned...

We are past that part, but the story of this year's nominating, and voting is pretty amazing. The depths some will go to, to see their name...

Stan, remember when this city was fun, cool, happening and filled with positive people doing positive things?

Well ho ho ho, Merry Christmas!

Huh. Did the Three Arches Foundation get caught trying to steal the vote?

No not at all, just a person desperate to be something, anything, just please read my name...

Doesn't matter, people should read the rules.
