Thank you to all that made Volume 16, Issue 22 possible. Even in the era of COVID-19 the stories of goodness, talent, and positivity continues to flow in Lakewood helping offset the troubles of the day. Thank you everyone.

In this issue we unveil in a gorgeous center page spread Lakewood’s newest mural. Personally I think it's one of the best pieces of public art since Richard Haas placed the large murals up in Lakewood Public Library. Haas’ murals captured Lakewood life over the decades and this captures Lakewood and biking while also celebrating our proximity to Lake Erie. Evan Laisure, and City of Lakewood thank you for this amazing piece of public art.

We also look at Ray Rodrîguez’s show at the Root Cafe and Kenneth Knabe’s book that is a must read and perfect gift for all Lakewoodites who bike or drive! Talented Lakewoodites making it work. Also talented in another way is recognition for Ceila Dorsch, one of Lakewood’s finest organizers, advocates, educators and all around great person.

Mayor George describes a new possibility for the old hospital site, local record reviews and two funny comics.

Pick up a copy at over 100 businesses and locations around town including all grocery stores, convenience stores, drug stores, and fine dining establishments.

Or download a copy here: http://media.lakewoodobserver.com/issue ... sue_22.pdf

Be safe, be smart, and use common sense while enjoying the holidays.

Nice to see Mayor George working on the total mess left to her by Summer’s administration. If I recall, the CASTO proposal was far better than Carnegie’s, but if course we all knew who was getting the contract.

It will be a miracle in these economic times to get anyone to agree to develop. Let’s cross our fingers.
