Signs, Signs, Everywhere A Sign…Part Deux Mille Vingt (2020)

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

I have been running on ongoing catalog of signs I have run across called “Signs, Signs, Everywhere A Sign…” for over a decade. http://lakewoodobserver.com/photoblogs/ ... -are-signs This year I noticed an amazing amount of political signs that were different, homemade, creative, and yes even nasty. One of the things that really amazed me were the subtle varieties of the Biden/Harris signs. Little things from colors, to more stylized. A red bar would change to a red arch. Subtle word changes, websites or text messages. Normally a political party would develop a brand and a single sign. Not any more! So the week before the election I took a quick drive around, Lakewood, Ohio to document signs that dealt with national politics and issues. By the end of the weekend, in a city of less than 5 square miles I counted over 170 different sign styles and messages. I have cataloged them here and in this photo gallery, with that I give you…

Ryan I am noticing about 30% of the decorations of last year. I think a lot of this is the on again off again trick and treat messages.

I am hoping that the Christmas Decoration increase, as those are more drive-bys events.

But times are getting tougher not easier.
