NEWS RELEASE

On 08/30/2020, at 1644 hours, the Lakewood Police Department learned that a person had been struck by a westbound train. In checking the area, officers discovered a deceased female near the railroad tracks just west of Cove Ave. in our city. The investigation is ongoing, and attempts are being made to notify the female’s family.

As of now, the railroad crossings are blocked from the eastern city limits westbound to Nicholson Ave.
