Around 1:30am, Lakewood Police got a call to make a welfare check on someone over on Clifton Blvd, and Belle Ave. Arriving they found a person dead in the yard, and when they got to the door it was locked, barricaded. SWAT were able to get the suspect out of the house around 5:30am.
Immediate neighbors were told to lock up and stay inside and away from windows, according to one resident.

Dead body identified as the home owner.
Was a doctor, who had granddaughter, baby, and baby's father living there.
It is believed in the reports that the granddaughter and her baby made it out of the house.
