Gov. DeWine declares masks mandatory in 7 Ohio counties including Cyahoga.

The order will remain in effect as long as these counties are in a red level or if they increase to the purple alert. If the counties drop to a level 2 or orange level, the requirement will drop off.

When do I need to wear a mask?
Any indoor location that is not a residence
Outdoors when you cannot consistently maintain a distance of six feet or more from individuals who are not members of your household.
Waiting for, riding, driving or operating public transportation, a taxi, a private car service or ride-sharing vehicles.

When do I not need to wear a mask?
Those younger than 10 years old.
Those whose physicians advise against it.
Locations where wearing a mask is prohibited by federal regulations.
If communicating with the hearing impaired.
Alone in an office or personal workplace.

All I can say is that it's about damned time, but better late than never. I really wish DeWine would have mandated masks statewide; however, this is a start. When I see what the EU did to get this virus under control, I am embarrassed and dismayed by the abject lack of leadership in the US starting with 45 and his minions. Let's hope that we can at least get this virus under control in Ohio in spite of the GOP denial.

I am so disappointed with Lakewood's leadership. The Mayor's hand tied by the work of the two previous administrations. No health department no steering having to wait for the county. Budish is just lost, the whole county cares more about restaurants and drinking then anyone's safety.

Council is busy looking at ways to make more public space into party space, while the rest of the educated civilized world is looking at getting rid of the virus.

Kids, they are kids and craft beer means more to them than residents I suppose.

Do they realize their bus is being driven by multiple DUI boy with a drinking problem?*

Do they realize they are letting him drive the Lakewood Bus right into another ditch?

Who cares, how about another beer?

* Not Council President O'Malley

You know it is pretty wild there are three groups of people not wanting to wear masks, 1 Trump Supporters, 2. Conspiracy freaks 3 A strange branch of people that think we need to see their grills(faces).

Yesterday at Get-Go, a local newscaster was going in for something, no mask. But it wasn't 6pm. Then as she spoke to people she would hold a cloth up near her face about 5" away and talk to them. 3 of the 5 she talked to in line backed up to move closer. As she left she took down her mask and smiled and wished us all well.

Now I suppose there could be a mack-up issue, and one could give a point for trying. But I say the same point for the guy talking into his pulled up t-shiirt.

What still amazes me is that we know nothing of the virus, especially long term.

I still cannot understand why people are so stupid as to ignore the advice of doctors and science. Are they so loyal to 45 that they are willing to risk their lives in the name of 45's ignorance and singular desire to be elected despite medical advice? Time for intelligent people to wake up!
