Do Not Make Things Worse For Lakewood - One Easy Step

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

If you do not want a stranger coming to your door...

Fill out your census forms and send them back.

The numbers and counts on your census form matter to the well being of Lakewood for a decade to come. All sorts of funding and programs that Lakewood will desperately need in the coming years depend on census numbers and facts to address needs and size of grants for the community.

One of the big edges we have been battling for the past 20 years is 50,000+ or less than 50,000. Falling below that level will put a serious crimp in Lakewood's funding.

What can you do? Stop reading this and go to: https://my2020census.gov

It takes less than 15 minutes to fill out the form, and take a very simple step to help Lakewood, all of Lakewood.

Thank you in advance.

PS- Ward 4, I am especially talking to you.

Took me all of 3 minutes to fill out and submit.

Just think of all the time spent on Facebook and Twitter - you can give 5 minutes to this.

Thank you Jim for this post. It is ironic that ward 4 is bringing up the rear in census completions because we benefit the most from a complete count: nearly all census tracts On the east end are eligible for federal block grant funding as a result of the census. Bridget is right, this takes a remarkably short amount of time. We all must do our part to be counted this year.
