Stars In The News In Lakewood...

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

... well maybe overhead us in Lakewood is better description.

Over the past couple months the start Betelgeuse has been in the news as the next star heading towards Super Nova. This would provide the world with the visual proof of just how amazing one of the most powerful chain reactions and explosions in the universe.

Betelgeuse, is located in the right shoulder of the constellation Orion - The Hunter

The thoughts of scientists and astronomers were, it was going to happen very soon. Well soon in astrological terms from tomorrow - 10,000 years.

Of course the light we are seeing from Betelgeuse was formed over 700 light years ago. So it could have happened and the light has just not gotten here yet.

Then yesterday came more news on Betelgeuse, and it seems to have stopped dimming.
