Mary Louise Madigan Strikes Again!
I just received a very slick and expensive piece of campaign literature from Ms. Madigan.
The literature poses as a non-partisan information booklet. In reality it is a not so clever hit piece. Apparently Sam O'Lear, Tess Neff, Jason Schachner and John Litten answered all of Ms. Madigan's questions BUT Meghan George, Laura Rodriguez-Carbone, Brad Presutto and Jeff Wise REFUSED TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS!! OH MY GOD!!! WHAT ARE THEY HIDING?!!!
If you want honest government then vote for honest people.

I am disappointed by one of those that answered, that told me "I will not answer or have anything to do with that BS."
And another falls into the gang that couldn't shoot straight.
This election we need control of our government again.
We need elected officials that will not lie to our faces.
This was indeed a sad moment, I had hoped he would stay out of the group, and run again in the future.
Mary Louise Madigan! we miss you so much! hahahahahahaha NOT!

Here is the designation of treasurer. Apparently this was just a last minute idea!! We won't know which out of town entity finances its operations until after the election.
Someone I know who is not all that political said, "That's all bullshit". Is a slick piece of expensive b. s. a boomerang?

Well one would say it clearly define "The Gang" the very gang everyone is desperately trying to distance themselves from, or simply not speak of.Bill Call wrote:Here is the designation of treasurer. Lakewood deserves better, so much better and more honest.

It says a lot to me that they are spending so much in the last week of the campaign. Besides their blatant duplicity, it shows they have lost touch with an electorate that votes early in increasing niumbers.

Also, "non-partisan"? Give me a break. There are no Republicans running for office. It would be better for the Dems and the city if there were. Depending, I might even vote for one, but please don't tell the Dem Club. Essi, Call, Markling, John Zapala, what do you say?

It’s all over social media already and it’s being roundly panned as Bs.

Terrible design.
Cheap paper, cluttered layout, misspellings and misprints, and the worst idea - the candidate names are inside.
Research has shown people do not open this type of mailer.
So typical ineptness

This is a good opportunity to remind folks that Madigan is directly employed by Armond Budish.
Budish leads the most corrupt county government in the United States.

Re: Mary Louise Madigan Strikes Again!
In the last election Tom Bullock convinced Marx and Nowlin to run as a team. It didn't turn out so well.
I wonder, did the council candidates who "responded" know they were part of the team or where the surprised to find out the were part of the team?
The team concept didn't work out so well last time.

They've been a team since Day One.Bill Call wrote:I wonder, did the council candidates who "responded" know they were part of the team or where the surprised to find out the were part of the team?
The candidates want the campaign cash that comes with "Team Summers" membership.

While this whole thing is sick, and shows just how low they are willing to go, I just had to laugh my ass off.Michael Deneen wrote:They've been a team since Day One.

If you go back to the thread where we blew the lid of this bullshit two months ago, they promised the candidates "all the room they need to answer all the questions."
This is a god damn flyer. They couldn't even get their shit together enough, or many of the candidates said, "this is BS" and did not answer the questionaire that was nothing more than a hit job on Meghan, Laura, Brad and Jeff.
I would hope the City of Lakewood would say enough is enough this election day.
HINT - be smart like Observers, how desperate would a group be to spend this much money to control your lives? That is how they think.
They only ask your opinion when it no longer matters. Don;t believe me. Well look at all the ways to set up pretending the hospital nightmare just happened when they had been scheming in secret for more than ten years. After the LOI was signed, the Mayor, O'Leary, and Build Lakewood said "Help us decide what could be next?"

I am looking forward to the possibility of a Surprise “partisan” appointment to the possible vacant At Large Council position come January.
A “majority partisan” appointment of a registered Independent—-the largest group of registered voters in Lakewood.
Although unlikely, a “minority partisan” appointment of a Registered Republican —the third largest group of registered voters would also be refreshing.
A “ Miracle Partisan” appointment of a person of color from either of the above two groups would really send a message of Real Reform ringing throughout Lakewood.
Mary Madigan et al evicted from their bunker.

Re: Mary Louise Madigan Strikes Again!
As I look at the latest mailer again, another thought comes to mind. The two columns of candidates do represent parties, although not the two parties we are accustomed to. I don't know what to call them, although they very loosely break down into the "Saver" and "Builder" names that were used as pejoratives during the hospital battle. For lack of better terms I would describe them as the "Developers" and the "Progressives." The developers want new construction at any price, while the Progressives want to move forward, but in a reasonable, reality-based way.
There is now a very clear division in Lakewood politics, society and life.

Sort of odd that Mary Louise has her name on the bottom of the flyer but used Nate Kelly’s address.
Anyone notice that?
Nate lives at 1551 Riverside, not MLM.
