Lakewood Fire Called To Candidate's Home For Fire

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

This morning around 8:30 am Lakewood Fire Department was called to a house fire on McKinley.

It ended up being the home of Ward 1 Council Candidate Laura Rodriguez-Carbone.

The fire was in the garage. Laura can be seen leaving the home for safety.

Lakewood Fire Department arrived in minutes and quickly got the fire under control.

Has anyone raised the obvious question about the fire's origin?

Dan-- in an oblique reply to your question-- I believe this fire was a simple, unexplained accident. As to any other explanations let me take a gigantic leap and say that this campaign for Ward 1 Council and all of our other campaigns are being vigorously contested on issues of credentials and views to the future of Lakewood.

I've learned to be suspect of accidents in this town, but I'll take your word.
