We Really Need To Correct One Massive Misconception Heading Into Election Season

The leaving of Lakewood Hospital was not the result of CCF telling the city to go screw themselves. NEVER HAPPENED!

The closure of the hospital is 100% on the last two Mayors, and the City Council that played along. It was a failure of local government at the highest level, and the deepest level. It was a series of badly thought-out gambles by FitzGerald(Mayor), Summers(Mayor, Council, LHA), O'Leary(President of City Council), Litten(LHA, Council), Bullock(Council, LHA), Madigan(Council, LHA), Anderson(Council) and others who either were too lazy to dig into the issue for the truth, or were looking for easy elections as an award for going along with the gang in power.

If CCF were running the show and wanting out, why are they still here? Well one reason is that the Summers Administration made them a deal they could not refuse. Of course other health care providers made much better offers for the people of Lakewood. It just did not suit FitzGerald/Summers/O'Leary family of politicians. Why? Their supporters would not have ended up with the tens of millions that had been set aside to run Lakewood Hospital for decades. They never would have gotten their new positions governing what were funds for a publicly-owned hospital. They certainly would never have gotten control of the land for a new multi-use strip mall for their offices, and more fund raising.

Proof, City Hall spent 3.5 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars fighting, hiding and destroying documents related to Lakewood Hospital, "A great deal for Lakewood." For 3 years keeping us and others from the facts. In the end they decided to pay fines instead of simply producing all of the paper work the courts ordered them to produce.

FitzGerald copyrights One Lakewood for his campaign for Mayor. He then sells it to the city as their new "address." When the dirty deal is done it opens back up as "One Lakewood Plaza" which was purchased by FitzGerald and Carnegie for $1.00, 1/200th of what Lakewood paid for the web address.

Deep thinkers, they are not. Follow the money, the land, the names, they rarely change in any way but the order they appear.
