8 - 12 Shots Fired On Robinwood At 10:44PM

While the police call went out "Shots fired on Robinwood and Madison..." The neighbor that called said, "Jim I was sitting on my porch just now, and heard a bunch of shots and then two cars took off."


"Male red shirt has put the gun in the front of his pants"

"Male is in the backyard. With that the police storm the area, within minutes.



Talking with other residents, "I hard at least 8 shots, a pause then a bunch more."



Within minutes they had the male in custody and in the back of the police car.


Another person was taken into custody and was released later to her father.


Police collecting and tagging shell casings from the shooter. They appeared to be over a 1/2 house radius.






The male shooter headed to the police station. As he was leaving you could hear him screaming, "No!, No! Ohhhhhhhhh My God, No!"

While no one was a shot at woman at the scene had a panic attack and had to be treated.


One of the amazing things residents said, "The police were here so fast, they must have been called prior to the shooting."

Great work Lakewood Police and Fire. This underlines, none of our safety forces knows exactly what they are getting into when they go to a call, criminal or domestic. But in the 16 years I have been following these men and women, I have never seen one hesitate for a moment in doing their jobs keeping us safe. THANK YOU ALL!

I left this out of the report...

While my source and the call that got me there right after the police mentioned "Six Shots a pause followed by another two shots, and two cars taking off at high speed." None of the other residents mentioned this. Most said, A bunch of shots followed by another bunch of shots. None of the others heard the cars. Of course all the others were in their homes watching TV or lying in bed.

So were the two speeding cars part of a shoot out? No idea.

Every resident was amazed at how fast the police were there. Most thinking the police had to have been called before the shooting started. There is nothing from the scanner that would indicate a prior call within 15 minutes.

This just illustrates to me how the powers that be in this city are just so clueless

Their vision, or fantasy really, of Lakewood as this idyllic, upscale and perfect world is just not based in reality.

We have high levels of poverty and working poor. We have uninsured people. Lots of people need help. But they are too busy focusing on all their “upscaling” to do anything to help the rest of the city and address serious problems.

In fact I think all their plans, especially ignoring Metro’s offer and getting rid of the hospital, are part of their overall agenda to gentrify the city. They want more of “their people,” their own kind.

They have the same vision as Trump.

I will say we dodged a bullet, somewhere between 8-12 shots fired in two groups, could have hurt a lot of people sitting on a porch.

This is about the 5th bullet we have missed in needing a hospital near by.

Meanwhile Another level 1 trauma center going into Parma, making it their 3rd hospital.
