We Have A Baby!!!

Emerald Canyon's Bal Eagle mom tends to the nest, and if you look closely, right in front of her is grey fluffy head of a Bald Eaglet!

Image
A better image of the eaglet that hatched on the 7th.

And where there are Bald Eaglets, there are predators, raccoons, owls and hawks.

Image
A red tail hawk sits in a branch near the nest watching.

Meanwhile in Avon Lake, none of the three eggs have hatched but the parents are picking up swapping in and out.

From 5" tall they will grow to have a wing span of about 7' by July1.
