Cox HD Service - Anyone have it?

Post by David Lay »

I just picked up a new HDTV, and I've been thinking about upgrading to Cox's HD Cable.

Does anyone here have it? Is it better than their standard digital cable?

Thanks :)

I have the basic HD service. The picture is remarkable. But, the basic HD is very limited...only a few channels. It's also a pain to get into. You have to rent the HD cable box (even if your TV is HD/cable ready). On my set, I also have to change the input from regular cable to an HD input (which really makes channel surfing a hassle). Over all, a clumsy arrangement, although if your watching a sporting event, which is why I got it, it's worth the effort.

Jeff,

Thanks for the input. I figured that if I have an HDTV, I might as well get at least a few HD channels...

My TV has Component and DVI Inputs, so I figure I'm ready for the box, at least according to Cox's website...

If everything goes to plan, I should have it by this weekend. Thanks again.
