1. In a separate post, it was noted that that Cuyahoga County Executive, Armond Budish had his office raided by the FBI. While the investigation is preliminary and the findings are unknown, it is important to find out what Lakewood's ties are to Mr. Budish's administration:
2. For example, In August of 2017, Councilman O'Leary had a fundraiser held in his honor by headliners such as Armond Budish and Mayor Michael P. Summers.

3. How the FBI's investigation relates to Lakewood remains to be seen. As exhaustively documented in this forum, many suspect that public corruption took place with Lakewood Hospital deal. For example, former Lakewood Mayor Ed Fitzgerald becomes a consultant for the Carnegie Management group who won the bid for One Lakewood Place:

4. Interestingly enough, the Plain Dealer endorsed Armond Budish:

Sam the Sham is Budish's candidate for Mayor of Lakewood.
He will be endorsed by the same party establishment that endorsed Budish, Summers, Tom Bullock, and Martin Sweeney.
These candidates all endorse each other and raise funds from the same corporate interests.
The Cuyahoga Political Machine will focus heavily on suburban races in 2019, with Lakewood at the fore.
They recognize that Lakewood is a hotbed of progressive activity, and they intend to "nip it in the bud".
O'Leary is expected to hire Frank Jackson's campaign manager is run his campaign...that demonstrates how well funded and connected it will be.

Documenting an Email Between Lakewood Mayor and Cuyahoga County Executive
Did the Mayor of Lakewood reach-out to Cuyahoga County officials to discourage or impede a revival of the Metro Health System proposal in 2015?
Here is the email:

The City Also Ignored The SPD Proposal
As we can see from the attached set of emails related to the City and Surgical Development Partners, we can see the City also "blowing-off" SPD in 2015, just like the Summers/Haber LHA Step-Two Committee did to Metro in 2014.
The reasonable inference with respect to the Summers email to Miller and Budish was that the City had a "done" deal with CCF and that a follow-up proposal from Metro would be unwelcome despite the solicitation of Metro by council-members and citizens.
The results are in the rubble.
