Around 10am, a call went out that there was smoke in the Commodore Apts.(?) off of Detroit Avenue and Detroit Ext.
When they arrived from 3 stations, there was no smoke showing but upon entering the second floor the hallway was filled with smoke. The source they traced back to an apartment that was unoccupied but where the occupants had left the stove on while they left for s short time.
Fire department quickly extinguished the fire, they went about clearing the building of smoke, when the residents returned.
No one hurt, fire out, nothing to see, move along.
