Looking for Paintings by Joseph Crnolatas

Post by Mark Crnolatas »

My dad, who passed on, was to many people, an exceptional artist in both oil paintings and watercolors. If you have one, or know of someone who does, please contact me.
He used to jokingly say, "You know what they say, if your alive, almost no one wants your paintings." I guess he didn't know he was stating a prophecy.

My dad wasn't famous but he had his own style. He signed all his paintings. Some, just "Joseph" and some "J.Crnolatas". He used to go to those mall craft
events, and would sell some there. Also, if some place didn't mind letting him show some of his work, he'd sell some that way.

My dad struggled his whole life to "get by" financially, even though he had a degree from Baldwin Wallace. Anyway, I'd appreciate it if you have or know of any of my dad's paintings, either watercolor or oils, please leave me a message.

p.s. His brush with "fame" was that he was asked to paint a picture of the Cyrus Eaton mansion in Bratnahl, by someone connected with the mansion. We joked about that. "My dad painted the Cyrus Eaton mansion", and we'd get "What color? ". Lord Jesus, give a message to my dad if you would..that his son misses him and loves him and my mom too.

Mark,

Hopefully, you know that you and your family have been in my prayers, and that you are not alone in your feelings. You and I were both blessed with wonderful parents and wonderful memories.

My own dad was a painter of portraits and scenery. He loved to do that sort of thing.

Call anytime.
