Girls basketball pairings were announced last week. Here is a review of when/where the local teams will play:
BOYS HOOPS
Lakewood and St. Edward are both in the Strongsville district. The Rangers are seeded 4th out of 13 teams, and St. Edward has the top overall seed.
Lakewood will host #13 ranked Max Hayes in a first round game on February 28th at 7pm.
If they win, they advance to play the winner of the North Royalton/Lincoln West first round game. That game would happen at LHS on March 3rd at 7pm.
St. Edward is the top seed in the district, and has a bye in the first round.
Their first tournament game will be on March 3rd at 7pm at home.
The Eagles will play the winner of a first round game between Rhodes and Parma.
If the seeds hold, the Rangers and Eagles could play a rematch of their season opening game. The game would take place on March 7th at 7pm at Strongsville High School.

GIRLS HOOPS
Lakewood is seeded fifth in the 14 team Valley Forge District.
The Rangers will host Brecksville Broadview Heights this Saturday in a first round game at LHS.
A win would advance them to play again on February 22nd at 7pm.
They would most likely face #4 seed Medina at Medina.

HOCKEY
Lakewood and St. Edward will both be in the Brooklyn district.
Lakewood, which won its division this year in the regular season, has a first round bye.
They will play their first game on February 18 at 7:30 at Brooklyn Rec Center.
They will face the winner of a first round game between Strongsville and Benedictine.
St. Edward is the second overall seed, and will also have a first round bye.
They will play their first game on February 18 at noon at Brooklyn Rec Center.
They will face the winner of a first round game between Chagrin Falls and Avon.
