Lakewood Police Seek Your Help In Violent Car Jacking Thursday

A car was stolen at Aldi's on Highland Avenue (West 117) at 5:12pm Thursday 02.02.2018.

A 74 year-old man was knocked unconscious as the men stole his car, believed to be used in other crimes as happened in a similar accident a week ago in Lakewood!

A 2014 Chevy Cruze, was stolen.

While the Mayor continues to cover up crime stats, you have to admit Councilman Dan O'Malley said car-jacking were the new preferred method,

Dan O'Malley, potentially the most honest person at City Hall.

Kudos to Lakewood Police who put out the call for help and were there within seconds.

And Lakewood Fire who helped get the victim taken care of promptly.

I stand by my comment. Councilman O'Malley stated on this forum, to paraphrase, car theft down, car jacking is up as the new way to steal cars.
