Gosh, Toby just can’t catch a break. He’s so busy with back room deals he’s not keeping close enough tabs on local media reporting

The Scene is commenting on a Chicago Tribune article about the Cleveland Med Mart, or whatever they call it now. Speaking of the Cleveland Clinic head’s role in the boondoggle:

Kennedy, along with Toby Cosgrove and former county commissioner Tim Hagan, were the principle architects of the secretive deal. Cosgrove, of course, was at the helm of the Cleveland Clinic;

Secretive deal? No, say it’s not so!

It's not just Toby.......Ed FitzGerald was also a major cheerleader for the Medical Mart boondoggle.

Check out this video from the 2011 Medical Mart groundbreaking, which is chock full of ironic quotes from the "new" County Executive.



"The medical sector is our growth sector. It's going to be a prime ingredient in our economic success."
Wow, that's interesting.....for the past three years Fitzy and his pals at City Hall have been telling us that the medical industry is shrinking.

"We've got to come to a realization that cynicism and pessimism is not a growth industry."
hmmm.....that sounds just like the "Happy Talk" currently coming from Team Summers.
Jen Pae will probably use that quote over on the Fakewood page.....dissent must be squelched!

"as Mr. Kennedy mentioned, not only is a project that is going to put us on the map nationally, but also internationally"
Well, Fitzy was right about this one. The national media is talking about what a disaster the project has been.

This is what makes it all so sick.

The crew that worked overtime to lie, cheat, borrow, liquidate our city of our biggest assets are like a bunch of Keystone Cops in clown suits.

Success rate 0. Even their success rate at hiding and cheating is ZERO!

A truly pitiful crew, now in charge of our land, our money and the real nightmare, our future as a community.

Word on the streets Ed's latest foray into the world of publishing the Brook Park 411 has stopped publishing after one edition paid for by "Friends of Tom Coyne."

Not sure if that is because Coyne was defeated, or that was the plan.

Seems like one off propaganda pieces are their specialty.

Good old FitzGerald! Remember a month or so ago when he claimed to have a business on Euclid Avenue? When I stopped in the building and questioned security, they said that Fitz never had an office there and that the suite number given was empty and had been empty for some time.
