The Lakewood Democratic Club will meet this Thursday, August 31, for an evening with local activists.

Expected speakers are:
  • Sara Ridley, Action Together Lakewood Area. You may have read about this group in a recent Lakewood Observer… or noticed their well-attended No Hate in Lakewood rally.
  • Jay Ketchaver, Indivisible CLE. Jay is a Lakewood resident, and organizer with one of the Indivisible groups now found throughout the country; he'll talk about Indivisible’s origins, his work as an organizer for the local chapter, and its specific efforts.
  • Joshua Gonzales, Dem Club Political Advocacy chair. Josh will round out the program, with news on upcoming events and how our members can get involved
We are also going to collect school supplies, for the local Supplies 4 Success program. And may hear a word about this fall's statewide Issue 2 measure.

Thursday, August 31, 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30)
Woman's Club Pavilion, Lakewood Park
Meetings are free to attend as a guest!
