Lakewood Loses Another Good One - Firefighter Terry Scavone

Terry Scavone, age 64 years, old, 34 year veteran of Lakewood Fire Department was brought back to Lakewood today.

Terry passed away this week due to cancer. He had only known a short time. Terry was a fixture in and around Lakewood, especially Fire Station 3, where he was like a father to all, even some of the kids in the neighborhood. He is survived by his wife Barbara, and children, Jen, Rebecca, Audria, Nina, Miles and Nicki (Nicholas).

This afternoon they brought his body back from Metro Hospital, where he died, in a somber service. Firemen, like police, soldiers etc, are friends, workmates, and family. Losses are always tough. Today they paid their respect, and the family is having a small service/ Terry will be remembered, at the Fallen Firefighter Memorial, October 9, at Station 1.

Here are some photos from today.

RIP Terry Scavone.
