Police cars suddenly went flying by Deb and I on our way home from dinner around 9pm. I grab a couple pictures, and later, checked out the scanner for the time.
The calls came in around 9pm, "Man being beat by a group of men on Elbur." "6-8 white men, mid-20s, in dark polo shirts, kicking and stomping a man who is down." Police respond and ask if there is anything else, and the response was, I'm getting many calls. The man who was getting beat up is in the doorway speaking with the police. Lakewood Fire Department came and check the man out, and suggested he goes to the Emergency Room. The man declined and last I heard was not actively pursing the guys that beat him up. But police were.
"Look for the man in the Angelos shirt, he filmed the entire attack." So police headed down to Angelos, and soon a crowd was there.
Slowly Madison Avenue returned to normal.
